EMOTION from Frankenstein by: Jason, Fay, Nicole, Paige, and Hannah
We chose the word emotion for our theme. This entire book expresses the emotions of victor and his monster. The monster spends his entire life learning the emotions of humans, but when he tries to express himself with emotions the people become scared and reject him as a person. Through out the piece there is much death that occurs and with this death leads to emotions and illnesses of the loved ones. Natures plays a huge role within the book the monster begins to journey through life for the first time, and is experiencing Nature. Emotion also played a major part in the monsters desire for a companion or wife, and asks Victor to create one. Near the end of the book when the monster discovers Victor's dead body upon the ship he settles upon the fact that he has no more reasons to live because all of his emotions were focused on Victor, and the monster also felt compassion when he realized that he had evil inside of him. This book contains a lot of dialogue that uses strong, powerful words of emotion.

Comparison of Tintern Abbey, Frost at Midnight, and Mont Blanc
These three poems have a lot in common. They both express about nature and the human mind and soul. Also, they all contain Romanticism through their visual imagery, tone, and word choice. All of the piececs talk about power and who has the power. They show the readers that everyone has their own ideas and interpretations of things. They let everyone know how important it is to think for ones self and to express through ones own mind. They also contrast between good and bad as well as talk about their own personal experiences. They talk about gloom and disgust and then the jump right into happiness and joy. Another important key topic is the idea that most humans cannot understand the power and beauty of nature. This is also known as mysticism, the belief of humans not understanding. Percy Shelley believes in the power of nature. He talks about how life is a never ending cycle and that death is just a light sleep. He states that nature can bring innocent destruction. He relates nature to humans and how they are so similar. He says death is not a bad thing. Samuel Taylor Coleridge believes in the power of God and how God is ones teacher. He says we are all influenced by nature and that nature over sees things that humans cannot see. William Wordsworth also believes in the power of nature as well as joy and pleasure. He states that one living is just a form of sleep and how no human can even touch upon the beauty of nature. His piece touches more upon his own experience and digs deeper into humans minds and souls.

Mont Blanc
Mary Shelley describes Mont Blanc as a majestic scene that can cure the soul. She goes into depth talking about how upset Frankenstein is by the death of his family members, but after seeing Mont Blanc, he is re awakened to life from the beauty of the mountains. Frankenstein states, "my heart, which was before sorrowful, now swelled with something like joy" (pg 67). Mary Shelley uses visual imagery with positive language. She uses words like wonderful, stupendous, glittering, joy, and happiness. She mostly talks about how Frankenstein feels as viewing the mountains. Percy Shelley goes into more depth talking about human life, heaven, hell, dreams and more. "Visit the soul in sleep, that death is slumber" His language also brings out visual imagery, and his vocabulary goes into much stronger depth. He compares the positive and negative sides of life as well as compares nature to humans. Each authors pieces relate to Romanticism through their visual imagery and their sense of passion in the tone and words of the piece.

Frankeinstein and Romanticism
The book Frankenstein is about the emotions and feelings of Victor Frankenstein. Emotion is strongly connected to Romanticism. Victor says he had made a mistake in creating a monster and now that the creature has come alive, he has become physically and mentally ill. His friend realizes how sick his friend truly is. Frankensteins mind is overflown with madness and this is why his emotions are running wild. He no longer knows what to do with himself. He only knows that he needs to get away from his creation. He has sacrificed his life to his studies and philosophies. He contradicts medical beliefs and practices. He has spent years trying to achieve what no other has and he has kept this a secret from the world. He has gone into a sense of independent thinking which is also related to romanticism. He has learned from others, but he has chosen to take his own path. He listens to no one. His family and friends in Geneva want him to write, but he refuses so that he can focus on his studies. He is expressing himself through his studies. He spends every second of the day figuring out how to attach body pieces that he got from the grave yard. In this book, Shelley connects many references to nature.

Blake poems
Blake decided to pair the poems, "Innocence" and "Experience" together because his main focus on all of the poems is children. He talks about their innocence’s and their availability to things. He explains that they don't have much of a choice when it comes to things in their lives. He talks about how they choose to be happy even when things are bad. He also says that they don't have control of things, but they do have the control of their attitude. Blake explains how life is a gift and that you should choose to be happy and that there is always light in the darkness. He also uses the word Angel and sun many times, which resemble good things. In the piece “The Chimney Sweeper”, Blake talks about how the little girl explains to the boy that if you do what you are told, you shall not fear any harm or worry. This resembles the life of a child and that all is well if they do what they are told. The two pieces are parallel to one another. He is trying to communicate that children find the light amongst the evil.
